AI traffic
AI traffic shows identifiable crawler and agent visits to your pages. It does not prove that a particular AI answer used the page.

What you'll do
- Connect a collector only if you want this evidence.
- Read crawler and agent visits by page.
- Compare that activity with later answers and citations.
Prerequisites
- A lightweight website integration, such as the Basiro widget or an Edge connection. Answer measurement itself does not require it.
Crawlers, agents and categories
See identifiable AI crawler and agent traffic reaching your pages, distinguish traffic categories where the evidence supports it, and compare that activity with what AI systems later say and cite.
Do not treat a crawler visit as proof that Gemini, or any other answer engine, used the page in a particular answer. A crawl is not a citation.
Two kinds of evidence
AI traffic and AI answer measurement are complementary. One shows visits to your site. The other shows what an answer engine said and cited later. Neither replaces the other.
What the result means
You can see which pages identifiable crawlers and agents reached. You cannot conclude from that alone that an answer cited you.
Important distinctions
- No code is required to start measuring answers. The collector is only for this traffic view.
